2020 Outstanding Transplant Hero Award
This award is presented to an individual, group, committee, organization, or unsung hero that merits special recognition for outstanding work and contributions in the area of organ donation or transplantation.
Award Eligibility for 2020
- Nominee must be employed by or active in the donation/transplant community (this award is not intended for volunteers and patients)
- Deadline for receipt of nominations: March 1, 2020
- Award presentation: May 2, 2025 at Hats, Horses, and Hope for a Second Chance at Life at Laurel Manor Banquet and Conference Center, Livonia, MI
Award Recipient Criteria
- Goes above and beyond to advance, educate, support and/or promote organ transplantation and donation
- Promotes inclusivity of patients, families, and staff
- Demonstrates the highest leadership qualities both at work and in the community
- Promotes patient and family-centered care initiatives
Nomination Process
- Complete application
- Attach supporting documentation (not required) such as publications, articles, awards

- Award recipient(s) will be selected by a committee comprised of SCAL board members and volunteers
